Has anyone ever seen plans for a pneumatic engine... Air powered engine??
I ran across a file recently and took a lot of interest in it and wondered if anyone else might be interested...
I have a 2.4L Toyota 22re engine sitting on the engine stand currently torn down and I am thinking of converting it to run on compressed air... The idea is very simple and it seems to make a lot of sense to me (not saying much)
Here is the file:

Let me know what you think...
I have 80% of the parts necessary and the stuff I don't have I have found on ebay and various other suppliers....
Looks like it will cost less than $500 to get running and then refining after that... I am thinking of a stationary or constant RPM engine with a generator head or hydrolic pump behind it to make it a work horse for other projects....

Anyway... just thought I would stir the bowl a little with that thought.

Im doubtful ... its too much like an actual harnessed working perpetual motion machine for my liking .

but hey , it might be worth a go .

I spend days reading up on joe cells myself ....

Yeah... I was figuring the CFM's it would take to run and it seems like too big a task for me...
Oh well... It was a good creative thought exercise....

This isn't exactly wehat you're talking about here, but it's certainly among the cooler alternate engine designs.
