Greetings All.
How about this technology to start the ball rolling.
http://www.globalfinest.com/tech
With the price of Diesel at the pumps nowadays ... this could be a solution for many transport companies that have access to waste oils and plastics.
Imagine running a fleet of trucks for some 25 cents per litre ... all from waste materials.
One of these on every landfill maybe ?
This technology is up and running.
More to come..........

I saw that!
They sent me a speadsheet that details the setup and startup cost and profitability... Look very good at about 2 mil a year profit after all expenses. They have alot of very cool stuff... I like the Cryo tire thingy! Very nice!

What kind of $ are we talking about?
How many versions of this do they make?
Are there different versions for different volumes of feedstock?
What is the ROI?
Are these aimed at communities or businesses?
Feel free to insert any questions that I missed.

I talked to them last year and they wanted $4.5 million US to get the plant up and running with training and employees and operating capitol... I believe the ROI was 1.5 to 2 years which is outstanding but it would require a lot of diligence... I also think that the government would assist financially because it is a reclamation/recycling/"Bio" Energy product.
I had a couple of potential investors but they chickened out...

Haven't really looked into it much lately... And I don't have the 4.5 mil laying around... :D
I could probably find investors but I already have 2 businesses and a load of unfinished project to juggle...

I just signed up on this site, I like it!
We're currently looking into this right now. Not generally that company, just depolymerization to light oils. I would like to do business with someone in the US, rather than Australia where Global Finest is. Currently looking for investors so we can get the ball rolling.
We wanted to build a 4mm/yr biodiesel plant but prices of the feedstock oils and methanol are spiraling out of control. With waste oil and plastic, you can guarantee your feedstock and logistics will always be local, and waste oil is not quite a commodity yet.

Oil Guy,
Do you have a list of companies out there that have nearly turn-key plants that a small company like mine could look into?
Thanks.

Piper,
What's your connection with Global Finest?
Global Finest is the only commercial unit that looks good to me... I remember a couple of years ago there were one or two others... But I can't find their information any more (computer crash)... There is a skid mounted unit that is made by some oil companies to refine crude on location to power the equipment they have on site... I forget who makes it though...
Global Finest is probably your best bet for a plug and play unit >> They provide training and support for you and any employees you hire.. they basically stand around and watch for lights and sirens because it is pretty much automated....

OIL-CAT motor fuel oil blender-$9000.00
That system is nothing more than a filter bank and regulated feed fluid blender that filters used oil and blends it with diesel/ JP-8 at 7.5% oil to 92.5% fuel ratio.
Great stuff but not what we're looking for.
